THE WAYS OUR TEAMS ARE SUPPORTING

THE PLACES THEY CALL HOME

The wider project resulted in the

planting of more than 20 , 000 trees

across four hectares .

Our team added 600 acacia saplings

to this landscape . This hardy species

was chosen for its climate resilience ,

soil - improving qualities and its value

for pollinators .

Souff let Malt Romania joined a

regional reforestation initiative

in Buzău County in support

of efforts to restore land and

strengthen local biodiversity .

Employees at Canada Malting

in Niobe , Alberta , planted and

maintained a vegetable garden to

support local food security . The f irst

harvest produced around 9 kg of

fresh vegetables . From zucchinis

and squash to onions , carrots and

beets , all of which were donated to

the Innisfail Food Bank .

Meanwhile , the team in Bawlf ,

Alberta , planted 10 locally -

sourced Colorado blue spruce

trees , using a simple formula :

one tree for every 10 , 000

tonnes of barley processed

over two years .

Both projects were grassroots

efforts started by employees who

wanted to give back in practical ,

meaningful ways .
