ADVANCING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY WITH OUR STAKEHOLDERS
BUILDING A RESILIENT ,
HIGH - PERFORMING SAFETY CULTURE
Our people power our entire value
chain and keeping them safe is our
most important responsibility . Across
our malthouses , logistics platforms ,
off ices and on the road to farms and
customers , we are working toward a
single goal : a workplace where no one
gets hurt . Before starting every new
task , employees are required to think
through the risks , ensure conditions
are safe and apply hazard control
measures to protect their own safety
and that of their colleagues . Safety , in
every sense , is integral to the way we
operate .
OUR APPROACH
We believe that safety is everyone ’ s
responsibility and that all accidents and
occupational illnesses can be prevented .
By modelling the right behaviours , leaders
play a critical role in shaping our safety
culture , reinforcing good practices and
helping us achieve our safety objectives .

Our Nine Golden Rules def ine the
behaviours that support safe work and
guide everyday actions , from effective
risk management and good housekeeping
to the use of personal protective
equipment and emergency response .
Building on these , our Five Life - Saving
Standards set clear requirements for
high - risk tasks such as equipment
lockout and isolation , working at
heights , managing explosion risks ,
working in conf ined spaces and
operating in degraded or abnormal
conditions .
To support consistent progress , we are
implementing a roadmap to reduce our
lost - time injury frequency rate ( LTIFR ) by
60 % by 2030 , working from a baseline of
5 . 9 set in 2020 .
This roadmap focuses on four strategic
areas :
• Involving all leaders across the
organisation in safety .
• Identifying and eliminating risks .
• Strengthening the safety skills
and capabilities of all teams .
• Standardising audit practices .
Our action plan to advance each of these
areas includes country safety reviews to
reinforce local ownership , learning from
incidents as part of every meeting , and
pre - shift tailgate sessions to improve
risk awareness before major tasks . We
are also strengthening communication
and collaboration across our internal
network to improve risk identif ication and
elimination , sharpen key performance
indicator management and deepen
knowledge of our safety standards .
We continued to roll out our internal
auditing programme and further align
safety practices on our sites to meet the
requirements of our Nine Golden Safety
Rules and Five Life - Saving Standards .
