TURNING WASTE HEAT INTO
SHARED PROGRESS
Through a close partnership with R - CUA ,
the regional energy eff iciency operator ,
and Blue Paper – a nearby corrugated paper
production site , the malthouse now captures
heat from Blue Paper ’ s biomass plant .
The system became fully operational in
2024 and ramped up to full capacity in
early 2025 . It has reduced the plant ’ s
reliance on natural gas and helped us
advance toward our goal of cutting carbon
emissions by 50 % by 2030 .
In 2024 , the malthouse achieved a 35 %
reduction in GHGs relative to a 2020
baseline .
Our Strasbourg malthouse in France
