EFFECTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT
OUR PERFORMANCE
Our goal is to advance towards 100 %
waste recovery by eliminating all
materials sent to landf ill . During the
reporting period , total waste generation
decreased by 6 % , from 39 , 537 tonnes
to 37 , 182 tonnes . This improvement was
largely driven by targeted initiatives at the
Inverness site , which accounted for around
90 % of the decrease . Key contributors
included process optimisation to reduce
sludge generation and clearing of legacy
metal waste associated with earlier capital
projects .
OUR APPROACH
Our waste management strategy
is guided by the hierarchy of waste
management which prioritises
prevention , reuse , recycling and repair ,
with disposal as a last resort .
The following practical measures
are applied across our production
facilities :
• Segregation of waste
streams to maximise recovery
and minimise disposal .
• Regular employee training
to strengthen awareness and
accountability in waste management
practices .
• Annual waste identification
and classif ication exercises and
continuous data monitoring to
further enhance reporting and drive
continuous improvement .
Across all operating sites ,
approximately 93 % of total waste
generated was recovered .
To monitor progress , each site conducts
regular waste audits and submits monthly
reports through a monitoring platform . To
achieve our 2030 target , planned actions
include addressing site - level audit f indings ,
putting appropriate action plans in place
and further strengthening employee
awareness and training programmes .
This year , all operations completed annual
waste self - assessments and 100 % of
quality , safety and environment
managers received training
during the reporting period .
Most of our waste streams are
organic and can be repurposed
or recovered in ways that
benef it farmers and the wider
environment .
