ABOUT US
Sustainability is ingrained
in everything we do
Woven into every decision we make ,
for us sustainability is a capability built
over generations and a responsibility that
shapes every part of our value chain .
Our sustainability strategy responds to rising
expectations for stronger environmental
protection , greater transparency and
solutions that can withstand the pressures
of climate change , resource scarcity and
evolving market demands .
Building the foundations for
long - term operational excellence
This report , our second voluntary
publication , ref lects the evolution of our
sustainability journey . Over the past year ,
we strengthened governance by def ining
clear accountabilities .
We enhanced our
leadership structure with roles such as
our Director of Agronomy , recognising that
agriculture , operations and compliance will
play a decisive role in our ability to manage
environmental risk and create long - term value .
Advancing our Sustainability
performance towards our
MALTiply 2030 commitments
We are pleased to share signif icant progress
on our trajectories toward achieving our
2030 targets , including an improved
lost - time injury frequency rate and a
14 . 5 % reduction in greenhouse gas
emissions .
Our Hodonice malthouse
delivered a water reduction of 15 % with
zero capital investment . At the same time ,
agronomy teams working across
17 countries , expanded regenerative
agriculture programmes and contributed to
shaping the Sustainable Barley Standard
with the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative
( SAI ) , an important step toward greater
transparency in global agriculture .
Climate targets validated by
the Science Based Targets
initiative
Last year , we reported that our climate targets
had been submitted to the Science Based
Targets initiative ( SBTi ) for validation .
We are proud to conf irm that these
targets have now been off icially
approved . This validation conf irms our
commitment to a low - carbon future and
ambitious decarbonisation efforts .
Pioneering sustainable and
profitable innovation
Our new South African malthouse represents
a blueprint for future operations , combining
best - in - class energy and water performance .
As we modernise our footprint globally , this
approach , building sites that maximise
impact from day one , will guide our
investments .
Leveraging deep local
capabilities globally
Our teams collaborate with farmers , suppliers
and communities to strengthen value
chains and ensure responsible , resilient raw
material supply . In many of the countries
where we operate , people recognise us as a
local supplier because we understand local
nuances and build long - term relationships .
This is how we earn trust . And trust is a
powerful competitive advantage .
In conclusion
Every plan , action and decision must
contribute to a positive aggregated
sustainability impact . Just like a Tetris puzzle ,
each piece of our work f its into a larger
picture , one that strengthens resilience and
accelerates sustainable value across our
ecosystem .
I invite you to read about our progress
and , as always , welcome your feedback .
